PatientService Registered Nurse

The Patient Service Registered Nurse (RN),working as a skilled home health Nurse, is to pursue physician's orders withthe intent to achieve a medically desired result.

Responsibilities:

•         ·        Collaborate with medical staff     in the care and treatment of patients;
  

·         Explain procedures andtreatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and alleviateapprehension;

·        Administer prescribedmedications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques;

·        Prepare equipment andaids physician during treatment and examination of patient;

·        Maintain awareness ofcomfort and safety needs of patient;

·        Observe patient, recordsignificant cant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisor or physicianof patient’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significantincidents;

·        Take temperature, pulse,blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal, assesscondition of patient and respond appropriately;

·        Make beds, bathe andfeed patients;

·        Respond to life savingsituations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures and protocol.

Requirements:

·        New York State LicensedRegistered Nurse Certification;

·        Valid form of NYSIdentification;

·        Mandated computerliteracy;

·        Excellent verbal andwritten communication skills;

·        Bilingual in bothEnglish and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
