| Just saw this on TPF and had such a good laugh that i had to share it with you guys. Not sure if it's more appropriate to post here or on the Parenting Board:    Original Post:    http://forum.purseblog.com/balenciaga/a-five-year-olds-logic-480511.html    So my brother bought this really annoying toy for my daughter. The toy is called the alphabet pal and is basically a green caterpillar with green, blue, and red feet.
I was playing with my daughter and my 5 year old nephew, trying to catch my daughter's attention and get her to play with her green alphabet pal, when my nephew says:

 - you know auntie, that toy also comes in pink.
 - oh! that's nice.
 - you should get her the pink one too.
 - why would she need the pink one? she has this one.
 - but this one is green!
 - what's the difference? pink or green, they are both the same exact thing!
 - no, they are not, this is green not pink, she needs a pink one too!

I was going to go on and explain to him that they are both the same but then I was like: WAIT A SECOND!

so after a long pause, I looked around to make sure my husband hadn't heard our conversation and told my nephew: OK, I'll get her a pink one.

So, if you still don't know why I posted this story here and not under parenting and etc., here is an example of why:
